Our Visit

At Namsan Dodam, you can enjoy delicious Korean food with makgeolli. 

It is located between Chungmuro, Euljiro, and Myeongdong. Not just locals, but many office workers come to eat here, so there are a lot of regular customers!

It's a simple and warm restaurant. In addition to seats for two or four people, there's a private room in the back that can accommodate up to 20 people.

You can order all these dishes separately, but if you order them as a set, you can get a discount of 5,000 won.

Now, we'll show you what's in the set.

First, makgeolli was served!

It is served with a traditional ladle and jars called hangari (항아리).

Mix the makgeolli well, then with the ladle, scoop some into the cups for each person. 

There is also a self-bar of makgeolli available only at lunchtime, and you can drink as much as you want!

If you like makgeolli, definitely come for lunch.

This poster says that in addition to makgeolli, you can eat unlimited rice at lunchtime too!

The poster says their kimchi jjim will give you a craving for carbs, so you'll need a lot of rice.

This generous service seems to be their secret to being loved by locals.

This is the chive pancake!

The bright green chives and crispiness make it look appetizing.

Cut it into bite-sized pieces with scissors and tongs as shown in the picture and dip it in sauce.

This is kimchi jjim, which is braised kimchi, and it comes with pork! 

The sweet and sour taste of kimchi permeates the pork and soup well, and has a very rich taste.

Just like with the pancake, we recommend cutting the kimchi into bite-size pieces.

Now, the star of the meal, bossam (boiled pork)!

It's pretty healthy and if you eat it with all the side vegetables, you won't feel guilty about eating it all even though you're full.

You can enjoy a variety of textures and flavors if you dip it in the sauce or eat it with the side dishes.

Although the foods are different, it is a great experience to be able to eat three representative Korean dishes with makgeolli.

How To Get There

Leave from Chungmuro Station Exit 6 on Line 4.

Go straight down the main road for about 10 minutes.

Turn left once you see the cafe 파리다방, and you'll see the restaurant on your right.
