Gyeongju UNESCO World Heritage Sites

1. Yangdong Village

Yangdong Village is the largest Yangban Village in Korea, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010. Not only is it huge in size, but it is said to have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its excellent preservation and high architectural value. The charm of Yangdong Village is that nature and humans live in harmony. We recommend you visit and feel the harmony of Hanok and nature in person!

2. Daereungwon Tomb Complex & Hwangridan-gil

Also known as the Royal Tomb Park, Daereungwon is a complex containing 23 tombs built during the Silla Dynasty. Visitors can see tombs of great historical significance, including the famous Cheonmachong Tomb. Next to Daereungwon, there is the famous Hwangridan-gil, which offers various street foods and trendy cafes, adding to the joy of the trip.

3. Bulguksa Temple

The third place we're going is the Bulguksa Temple. This temple is known to be the depiction of the most ideal world in Buddhism brought to life. It's the utopia of Buddhism, so to speak. If you're interested in the world that Buddhists imagine, this temple will really intrigue you.

4. Donggung and Wolji

The last place we're visiting is Donggung and Wolji. This place used to be named, "Anapji", however, the name was recently changed when the pond's name was relieved to actually be Wolji. Donggung means a palace in the east and Wolji means a pond lit by the moon. The night view is as beautiful as its name.
