I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Shilla Stay Seocho in South Korea. The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, and the central location made getting around a breeze. The added convenience of a nearby convenience store was a big plus. What's more, the breakfast was exceptional - a delightful start to each day. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Seoul!5

Great hotel with friendly staff. They have on-site laundry (extra cost) and breakfast (extra cost). Sadly, there is no pool, but there is a fitness room and they can also lend out mobile phone chargers at the front desk. Every room also has several universal plugs so if you forget ur adapter you can still plug in.3

I've stayed here before and this is my second time. Each of my stays is for a longer-term, like 10+ days, for business trips. It's really a nice, clean hotel, but it could have been so much better if they took care of a few more details.
For example, the room A/C fans are very weak and the temp. is controlled by the hotel, I guess to save electricity. But the A/C has been on at highest fan speed all night and all day and the room does not go below 27.5 degrees C, which is quite high. It's not like I'm sweating when sitting, but once I get moving to arrange my suitcase and work on stuff, it feels hot. The fan needs to be stronger, the temp. should be adjustable by the guest.
My room has a shower/tub, and has only a partial screen and no curtain, so when I take a shower, the water splashes all over the place outside the tub and the water is all over the bathroom floor. I wish they had installed a full screen or a curtain so shower won't make the entire bathroom wet.
And the sliding door of the bathroom is also the closet door, so I'm having to move the sliding door constantly to access the bathroom or the closet. It's rather silly and inconvenient.
The work desk is tiny and very low and the work chair is uncomfortable. So is the bench sofa. So, these are my complaints about the room.
At this level and price, I expect it to be a more comfortable and efficient place for business travelers. It has some niceties as well--free bottled water each day, very clean and neat, nice breakfast buffet and lunch (for a fee that is not cheap), etc. The service staff are not as friendly, and they carry somewhat of a robotic look. They seem to be under stress. The location, however, is excellent. It's on a smaller street off a major street, so it's quieter (than Hilton Garden Inn and Hotel Peyto Gangnam nearby which are on the major street) but still near a subway station and bus stations, and lots of shopping, coffee, and restaurant options within walking distance.
