Lens implantation surgery is a semi-permanent vision correction procedure that involves inserting a special vision correction lens inside the eye, without damaging the cornea, in cases where the cornea is too thin or the patient has high myopia.

7. Presbyopia Correction

Presbyopia correction surgery helps you see clearly at different distances without relying on reading glasses or bifocals. It can improve distance vision (driving), near vision (reading, smartphone), and often intermediate vision (computer work). 

The four main options are:

• Presbyopic LASIK  
  • This procedure uses a laser to gently reshape the front surface of the eye (the cornea) so that an eye with presbyopia can see both far and near distances to a certain degree.

• Mono SMILE (Monovision SMILE)

• ZEISS Presbyond LBV  
  • This is a premium presbyopia LASIK technique that uses a high-precision laser system from ZEISS to give each eye a slightly different range of focus, creating a smooth transition from distance to intermediate and near vision.  
  •  It is an advanced form of monovision that widens the overall range of clear vision when both eyes work together, rather than simply making one eye “for far” and the other “for near.”
•  Presbyopic Lens Implantation  
  • In this surgery, your natural lens is kept in place, and a special presbyopia-correcting lens is added in front of or behind it to improve distance, intermediate, and near vision.  
  •  Because the cornea is not significantly reshaped, this option can be suitable for people with thin or irregular corneas who are not ideal candidates for laser procedures.

8. Cataract Surgery

• In this procedure, the cloudy natural lens is removed and replaced with an intraocular lens (IOL), and a presbyopia-correcting IOL can be selected and implanted at the same time.
• This allows you to treat cataracts and correct presbyopia in a single surgery, which is advantageous for long‑term vision management.

Procedure after reservation

1. Please read the detailed information and then make a reservation for the date and time you want a surgery consultation.
2. The reservation through Creatrip is for an eye examination and ophthalmology consultation. The consultation fee is 200,000 KRW.
3. On the reserved date, visit the ophthalmology clinic for an eye examination, after which the possibility of corrective eye surgery will be confirmed.
4. If you proceed with the corrective eye surgery, the consultation fee will be deducted from the total amount you must pay at the clinic.
5. If you cannot proceed with the corrective eye surgery, the consultation fee will not be refunded.
6. Once the reservation is confirmed, a voucher containing pre-surgery preparations, precautions, directions to the clinic, and contact information will be sent to you by email. Please make sure to check the voucher.

Procedure on the day of surgery

1. Present the reservation confirmation received from Creatrip and your passport at the reception desk. (Gangnam,  Kyobo Tower A, 15F).
2. After registration is complete, follow the instructions of the interpreter.
3. You'll undergo about 20 detailed examinations (approximately 40-60 minutes).
4. The doctor will diagnose your current eye condition based on the examination results and determine the most appropriate surgical method.
5. Through consultation, you'll receive guidance on post-surgery precautions and the use of eye drops.
6. Pay the surgery fee at the desk, excluding the consultation fee, and receive your prescription.
7. Move to the surgery room, change into surgical attire, and undergo disinfection.
8. After the surgery, take a short rest and receive a follow-up consultation from the doctor.
9. If there are no issues, receive instructions for discharge, then pay and collect the prescribed medication at the pharmacy before going home.
