        The ongoing repair work was completed in February 2024 and you can freely pass by. It is said that the name Jeonseungmun for the north gate of Namhansanseong Fortress was given that name when the gate was renovated during the reign of King Jeongjo. This gate cannot be reached by car, but can be seen by going north from the Namhansanseong roundabout, which is not that far away. When looking at Jeonseungmun Gate from the south, the left side is Course 1 & 5, which is the direction toward which Seoul can be seen, and the right side is Course 5, which turns sharply south. There is a section in this section where some fortresses and fortresses actually remain.

        I went there on the weekend. I arrived before 11 o'clock, parked, and walked Course 1. The closer it gets to lunch, the more cars there are, so if you want to park, it would be better to get there early on weekends. Course 1 was a flat course that was more like a walk than a hike, so it was good to go around without too much trouble. It’s a great place to go to get some fresh air. Later, I thought it would be great to take a foreign friend along, walk through one course, and come down and eat Korean food. I'm looking forward to seeing how it will change once construction is completed :)

        Mountaineering and outing, take a breath of fresh air and absorb phytoncide, and stop by to see our lovely Wenbin... The weather is just right, not hot and there is a gentle breeze. The tour guide sister is a kind and lovely Korean, and her Chinese is very good! ! ! The driver brother is very good at driving, and his parking skills are top-notch. The car is comfortable and spacious. Our family thinks this half-day trip is very worthwhile! !

        The tour guide and the driver are super nice. There are five of us in total, and the car is big and comfortable. This itinerary will climb a little hill, which is a bit like climbing the Elephant Mountain or Yangmingshan trails. You must wear comfortable and easy-to-walk shoes, and it is better to wear them as lightly as possible.

        Introduction

        • Namhansanseong is located in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province. It may be hard to get to for foreigners that don't have a personal car.
        • Namhansanseong Fortress was registered as the 11th UNESCO World Heritage site in Korea in 2014.
        • It is a famous hiking spot for Koreans because of its incredible view of Seoul.
        • Namhansanseong Fortress has fie trekking courses. This course will walk up the first course, which is said to have the best view.
        • You won't have to worry about transportation as an English/Japanese/Chinese-speaking tour guide will guide you around in a private car.

            Things To Keep In Mind

            • Please make a reservation at least 5 days before departure.
            • Make cancelations up to 3 days prior to departure for a full refund. Cancellations 2 days in advance are eligible for 50% refunds. Cancelations made on the same day or day before departure are not eligible for a refund.

            • Pickup service is available only at hotels in central Seoul. If the location of the hotel is too far and pick-up is difficult, we may ask you to come to a designated location to board the bus.
            • The tour schedule is subject to change depending on traffic conditions on the day.
            • Children under 24 months are free but extra seats will not be provided.
            • Each location will be explored on foot so wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
            • If the tour is joined by 4 people or more, the guide will pick you up in a van, if not, a taxi will be used.
            • Meals are not included in the tour. Please eat a good breakfast in advance.
