Class

*The class is conducted face to face. (It may be changed to online depending on the COVID-19 situation.)
* The curriculum for classes by level 1 to 6 in the morning class can be found here.
* The curriculum for classes by level 1 to 6 in the afternoon class can be found here.
* The afternoon class is for students who want to go to Korean universities or graduate schools.
* Students will be provided with a free test to apply to Korean universities, and admission information, which are essential for college entrance.
* Students who have completed class 3 or higher in the afternoon class will receive scholarships and other benefits when entering the undergraduate program at Sogang University. Check out the details here.

Tuition

* (Example) When applying to 2 semesters: Admission fee ₩64,800 + tuition ₩1,976,400*2 = ₩4,017,600
*The admission fee is the amount you pay when you apply and cannot be refunded.
*The tuition can be paid in full after you have passed the admission process.
*Textbook fees are not included.
*This amount includes the Creatrip fee

Refund Policy

* The admission fee will not be refunded.
* Refund policy is set based on the number of school days.
* If your visa gets declined, fill out and submit the cancellation application a week before the start of the semester, the entire tuition fee excluding the admission fee will be refunded.
* If you apply for a refund, your language training visa (D-4) visa will also be canceled. The departure or residence status must be changed within 14 days.

Sogang University's language school offers great Korean conversation classes so many foreign students attend each semester to improve their Korean speaking skills.

Sogang University is located in downtown Sinchon where there are endless things to do there so you can get the full experience of living in Korea as a university student.

Subway

Three subway lines (Line 2, Line 6, and Gyeongui Jungang Line) pass through Sogang University, making transportation extremely convenient. After getting off the station, you can reach the main, back, and south gates on food.

1) Sinchon Station: Line 2

Sinchon Station | Things To Keep In Mind

The interval times are very short so it's very convenient to travel and goes through major stations in Seoul. It also passes through the major downtown areas of Seoul such as Gangnam and Hongik University.

After getting off at Exit 6, walk along the hill for about 5 minutes to get to the main gate. The Arrupe Hall, where the language school is located is a 2-minute walk from the main gate.

2) Ewha Women's University: Line 2

Ewha Women's University Station | Things To Keep In Mind

The interval times are short so it's very useful and passes through major Seoul stations.

Walk for 12 minutes or take a bus to get to the back gate after getting out of Exit 6. The dormitory is located right next to the back gate.

3) Daeheung Station: Line 6

Daeheung Station | Things To Keep In Mind

Compared to line 2, the intervals are longer so you have to plan your travels in advance.

Line 6 has fewer users than other subway lines so the inside of the trains is emptier and you can probably grab a seat.

After getting out of Exit 1, walk to the right for about 5 minutes to get to the back gate. The dormitory is located right next to the back gate.

4) Sogang University Station: Gyeongui Jungang Line

Sogang Station | Things To Keep In Mind

Although the name of the station is Sogang Station, it's not the main station near Sogang University. We recommend using Line 2 or Line 6 because the intervals of Gyeongui Jungang Line are very long.

It takes about 5 minutes to get to the main gate after getting out of Exit 1. The Arrupe building, where the language school is located, is a two-minute walk from the main gate.

Step. 1	Go to exit 6 of Ewha Women's University Station, turn left and walk straight.
Step. 2	Take bus numbers 173, 5714, or 6712.

 University District and Neighborhood Information

1. University District Information

Sogang University's university district runs from Gyeongui Line Forest Road all the way to Sinchon Station.

Sinchon, a very well-known downtown area of the university is bordered by Sogang University, Yonsei University, and Ewha Women's University. It is very large and well-developed.

In Sinchon, there are large franchise restaurants, cafes, and bars that were frequently featured on TV, so Songang University students can make lots of after-school plans during the afternoon.

The Gyeongui Line Forest Road area along the main gate of Sogang University is a small university district that is mainly only known by Sogang University students. Unlike Sinchon, there are many restaurants and small cafes run by small business owners so they are generous and give lots of discounts to Songang University students.

Restaurants such as 'Yellow Pizza' are located along the Gyeongui Line Forest path here which all Sogang University students have tried at least once.

If you want to experience the drinking culture of Korean students, we highly recommend taking a trip to these spots!

2. Nearby Facilities and Neighborhood Information

1) Sinchon Hyundai Department Store U-PLEX

Hyundai Department Store U-PLEX Sinchon Branch is located at the beginning of Sinchon Street. The underground department store is also connected to Sinchon Station on Subway Line 2 so it's very accessible. 

As a department store located in the downtown area of a university, there are many clothes and trendy items that are loved by the youth. You can find many inexpensive and fashionable items here.

There are also pop-up store events that are held here, so definitely drop by when you have a chance! 

2) Large Supermarkets (E-Mart, No Brand, etc)

There are many students that live alone near Sinchon University so E-Mart and No Brand are essential places where you can purchase daily necessities at an affordable price.

In addition to fruits and vegetables, they sell various kinds of snacks, ramen, and other foods that can be easily cooked using the microwave. These simple pre-prepared meals are very helpful when you are too busy with your studies or short of living expenses.

3) Movie Theater (CGV Sinchon, MEGABOX Sinchon)

CGV and Megabox, Korea's leading movie theaters are located nearby.

The movie theater closer to Sogang University is Sinchon CGV. It's not that big, but it's located near the campus and Sinchon Station (Line 2) so it's the perfect place to relax after a hard day of studying.

Megabox Sinchon is located near Yonsei University and Sinchon Station so it's a little far from Sogang University.

However, we recommend Megabox for people who prefer to go to the movies with a bigger screen since it's bigger than CGV.

Around Sogang University there are Yonsei University and Ewha Woman's University nearby. They all share the downtown area of Sinchon, Since some of the most well-known universities in Korea are located close to one another, the streets of the university district are filled with the energy of the youth.
