We visited some of the Seoul and Incheon filming locations from the hit K-Drama Crash Landing on You! Come relive some of the iconic moments with us.
The hugely popular K-drama Crash Landing On You aired its final episode about a year ago but lives on in our memories.
We wanted to visit some of the famous locations in person and find the exact spots where filming took place.
The drama's lead actors, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin, recently announced that they have been dating for about a year. The thought that the two stars' romance might have started at one of the locations makes it even more exciting to trace their footsteps!

First on our tour is the restaurant from episode 1 where Se-ri and her boyfriend Cha Sang-woo were caught by paparazzi while on a date.

Visitors are met by the classy and luxurious entrance with a huge hanging light.
The interior of the restaurant also has plenty of lavish details.

The restaurant seems to offer the perfect atmosphere for enjoying a fine steak along with a glass of red wine!

Located in fancy Cheomdam-dong, Wolfgang Steakhouse is known for offering the best steaks in the area. Just passing by its luxurious entrance is an experience in itself!
Being a high-class restaurant, lunch here starts from around 30,000 won. Whereas dinner might end up costing around 200,000 won/person.
It is a bit pricy, but the restaurant provides a great atmosphere with its luxurious interior, making it a great place to visit for special occasions.
The exterior of the restaurant is also very luxurious.
How To Get To Wolfgang's Steakhouse
The restaurant is a five-minute walk from Exit 3 of Apgujeong Rodeo Station.
Turn left at the first side street and just continue straight!
Just outside Exit 3, you will also find Acredo Seoul, used as the filming site for Seri's Choice!

This is the building that was used as the filming location for Seri's Choice in the K-drama.
In reality, Acredo is a German jewelry shop famous for customizing wedding rings to the customers' liking.
If you contact them in advance, you can have a member of the staff personally assist you when you look around the store.

There are many jewelry brands in Acredo. On the first floor, you will find the Italian brand leBebé, which offers jewelry for mothers and children.
Acredo is located on the second floor, where staff will be available to assist you.
You can both look at and try engagement and wedding rings in the store. It might be worth a visit if you are looking for a present for your loved one!
How To Get To Acredo
Located less than a minute walk from Exit 3 of Apgujeong Rodeo station, the building is easy to find.
As previously mentioned, Wolfgang Steakhouse is also located in the area, so why not hit two birds with one stone?

We are sure you all remember the North Koreans in Company Five, who frequently appeared in Crash Landing on You.
The picture above is from an endearing scene where they stare into the fried chicken restaurant with big eyes.
The BBQ Olive Chicken restaurant that was used as a location for the drama can be found close to Ewha Womans University Station, an area that is famous for reasonably priced street fashion.
Thanks to the drama, BBQ Olive Chicken's sales have been said to have skyrocketed, which just goes to show how popular the drama was in South Korea.
How To Get To BBQ Olive Chicken, Ewha Womens University Branch
The restaurant is also close to Sinchon Station, but here we will explain how to get there from Ewha Womans Univ. Station.
Turn left at the second street after taking Exit 2 and continue straight.
It is no more than a 5-minute walk, and you can window shop for cheap street fashion on the way there.
When we went, many stores were temporarily closed due to the pandemic, so the streets were much more quiet than usual.

The DDMC office building appeared in episode 11, in the drama it is the headquarter of Se-ri's Choice.
This building was also used as a filming location for the drama Something in the Rain, which also starred Son Ye-jin along with Jung Hae-in.
We still remember the scene when the group looked up in awe at the building, only to be denied entry when they tried to go inside.

There are plenty of buildings in the area that serve as headquarters for TV industry companies, but it looks like this is the only building to be used as a set for dramas.
We went to see the gates where the group was denied entry. It seems even harder to enter in reality.
How To Get To DDMC
Take Exit 9 of Digital Media City Station and walk for about 8 minutes to find the building
There are many offices in the area, with plenty of restaurants and bars catering to workers. On our way there, we discovered the uniquely named bar Ju Yu So (주유소).
A quick look at their menu and we deduced that they specialize in tong-dakbal (통닭발) which was chicken feet served in a spicy sauce.
Although the visuals won't appeal to everyone, people who tried their chicken feet say that it is really good!
The DDMC office building is fairly easy to find, but you can look for the sculpture which can be an indicator that you are in the right place!

Crash Landing On You Official Website
One of the things that we liked about Crash Landing on You was that we could hear North Korean dialects.
We especially enjoyed the accent of Seo Dan's mother, she was the owner of Pyongyang's largest department store.
Moda Department Store only appeared once in the drama, but the old building actually looks like a department store you might find in North Korea.
In fact, many viewers were fooled and believed that this scene was actually shot in Pyongyang!

These are pictures from our visit to the department store.
If you would like to visit the building for yourself, it is a ten-minute walk from Bupyeon Station.
This building looks older than most department stores in Seoul, so it has a certain retro feeling to it.
Around Bupyeon Station you can find other places with an old-fashioned atmosphere, including a market.
How To Get To Moda Department Store
Take Exit 6 of Bupyeong Station and walk for five minutes to get to the department store.
You'll find the biggest underground shopping mall in Korea below the station!
Unfortunately, most stores were closed when we visited.
There are many fashion stores in the underground shopping mall. People of all ages come here to shop.
Don't be startled if you get lost in this huge shopping center. Even street-savvy Koreans tend to lose their sense of direction here!
But it's a great place to find reasonably priced fashion items, so you won't mind getting lost here for a while.
Instead of taking Exit 6, it is possible to enter the department store from the underground shopping mall!
It's a good idea to pay attention to the directions laid out on the floor when trying to find the department store.
Taking Exit 29 from the underground shopping mall (부평모두몰) will also take you close to Moda Department Store.
We found a great little bakery in the underground shopping mall.
The pollock roe sandwich here was really good.
The bakery is called 에키노 마에, and they sell many Japanese-style sandwiches and buns.
Their prices were very reasonable, so have a look if you manage to locate the store!
Gong-Wonjang

Gong-Wonjang is the restaurant in the scene where Kim Soo-Hyun made a brief cameo. Do you remember it?
Kim Soo-Hyun's short cameo was a hot topic among fans. He was praised for his powerful performance.
In the scene, Kim Soo-Hyun appeared as his character from the 2013 movie, Secretly, Gently, where he played a North Korean agent disguised as the village idiot.
We found a spot where you get a fine view of the area!
You can take some great pictures of the colorful roofs.
On the way to the restaurant, we found this small book cafe called Maeum Yeohaengja (마음여행자).
Although the cafe was closed when we went there, we made good use of the benches outside to catch our breath before resuming our walk to Gong-Wonjang.

In the drama, Kim Soo-Hyun was introduced as a North Korean who worked part-time at a Chinese restaurant.
He gave Company Five some advice, he let them know that he arrived in Seoul prior to them and that there is nothing to fear about the city.
But when the owner of the restaurant called for him, his demeanor changed completely. Suddenly he was the familiar dull-witted character again, much to our delight.
Finally, we arrived at the Gong-Wonjang! There are several options on the menu, but online reviewers say that their cold jjamppong (냉잠뽕) is really good.
Jjamppong, or spicy seafood ramen, is usually enjoyed hot, but here they also serve it cold!
The restaurant is hours according to Naver was 10:30-21:00, but they opened at 11:00 the day that we visited. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to enjoy a meal here. We will definitely try their jjamppong next time!
How To Get To Gong-Wonjang
We recommend taking a bus from Namjung School (남중학교) after taking Exit 1 of Jemulpo Station. It can be a little bit tricky to find the bus stop.
You have to cross the street twice to get to the bus stop.
First, cross the street after getting out of the subway station (there's a Lotteria restaurant on the other side). Then turn right and cross the street again to take the bus from the bus stop on the opposite side of the street.
The name of the bus stop is Namjung School (남중학교), and the bus you are looking for is number 512. Get off at Subong Park (수봉공원) and you're basically there.
There's not a whole lot going on in the neighborhood apart from the restaurant, so make sure to take plenty of pictures from multiple angles!
Also, make sure to head to the bus stop on the opposite side of the road on your way back.
It is about a 7 minutes bus ride one-way.
You can find out when the bus is scheduled to arrive by referring to the digital sign.
