Review

Choco Blossom is located downstairs with not much lighting, but this work as an advantage, and you will find out why soon from this blog. 

The place was featuring this bingsoo as well from the entrance of the cafe. After spending some time in the heat, cooling down over some great chocolate bingsoo is pure happiness.

Plus, unlike other cafes, this place offers interesting seating plans. The loft-style cafe has a cozy atmosphere where you chat with your friends and loved ones in a friendly mood. It’s not as spacious compared to franchise cafes, but this is a perfect place to chill and boost your energy from walking around in the busy Hongdae and Sinchon districts. 

One of the things that captured my attention was this unique chandelier! I loved how they used soft lighting to enhance the cozy atmosphere in the cafe. 

As you can see from the photos, there are lots of hidden seating spots available at Choco Blossom. 

The most beloved seats are these cushion benches that you can sit comfortably. When we visited Choco Blossom on this day, there was a group of girls sitting here and chatting for some time. They seemed very comfortable, and I would like to bring my friends here as well.   

We have ordered the Deep Blossom Chocolate Bingsoo, Hot Chocolate, Brownie & Vanilla Ice Cream, and Iced Tea.

Brownie & Vanilla Ice Cream ₩6,000

All four desserts and drinks were visually appealing, but the first one that captured my attention was the brownie & vanilla ice cream. The plating was a delight to my eyes; the drizzle of chocolate sauce with crushed almonds and cashews increased the completeness of the dessert. The brownies were handmade, which was in between cakey and chewy. It was very moist but not quite as gooey as fudgy brownies. The match between the brownie and vanilla ice cream was perfect. I loved it so much!

Chocolate Bingsoo ₩15,000

The bingsoo was something special, something that I have never seen before. According to the poster at the entrance, the bingsoo has handmade chocolate truffles, brownies, and gelato on top. Also, they have placed a plain rice cake to give more texture to the dessert. I was more than happy to try this.   

When I had the first scoop, there were lots of chocolatey toppings that made me drool. There were chocolate covered cornflakes as well as trail mix!

The size of the bingsoo is perfect for two and I loved how there were generous about the toppings and the gelato. My personal favorite topping was the chocolate covered cornflakes and the gelato; I did not expect these toppings in a bingsoo, and made this even more special.  

Hot Chocolate ₩7,000

At last but not least, we had the choco blossom’s signature menu, hot chocolate. We had Blossom Hot Chocolate, which wasn’t as sweet as I expected it to be. I loved how there was some bitter taste of chocolate since I am a big fan of dark chocolates!  

This is nothing like hot chocolate mix powder! This is the real melted hot choco that everyone loves.

How to Get There

Get off at Exit 3 of Sinchon Station and walk straight from the exit. 

Walk straight until you see the Nature Republic on the right side, and turn right. 

And go straight again. 

You will be able to find Choco Blossom on the right side of the street. 

The cafe is a bit hidden, so look for this alley to not get lost in Sinchon.
