Sungkyunkwan University is located in "Hyehwa", and it is a gathering place for many Korean locals.  

1. Hyehwa Station, also famous for its Daehangno, has various cultural events, and performances available at reasonable prices.  
2. Ewha Mural Village is also near Daehangno! You can enjoy the beautiful night view of Seoul.
3. Sungkyunkwan University is located near Seongbuk-dong which is known as residence for wealthy class.
4. Not a lot of residents live here, but it is a gathering place for people who look for hot restaurants.  
5. Creatrip will introduce Seongbuk-dong on April, so stay tuned!

Okay! I will introduce you all the delicious restaurants and attractions near Seongkyunkwan University, selected by Creatrip～

Hyehwa Station Restaurants : Sundae Story (순대실록) 

Seoul Free Travel : Famous spot for Sundae, Korean pig blood sausage

This is a sundae restaurant located near Exit 1 of Hyehwa station. If you are a fan of Korean pig blood sausage this is definitely the place for you .

The most common meals they order is "Sundae Steak (순대스테이크) " and  "Sundae Stew (순대전골)".

"Sundae Steak" is a steak-like meal that is full of pig blood sausages. It is very popular among the locals and it attracts many Koreans to visit the place. 

The other one. "Sundae Stew" is a spicy stew that almost all Koreans love.

It is filled with sundae and fresh vegetables. I was satisfied with the taste and after you finish the stew don't forget to ask the boss to help you make fried rice. 

The fried rice is different from your ordinary cooked rice. You'd better try it out!

Hyehwa Station Restaurants : 2. Peter Pansteak (피터팬 스테이크) 

Seoul Free Travel : Delicious steak in a frying pan at a low price

If you want to eat a good steak at low price this is the place for you. This is a famous dating spot for college couples. Cheap and delicious steaks have captured the college students taste.

The sizzling steak will be placed on the top of the pan and served to the customers.

The vegetables that are served together makes the diet healthier and more delicious. 

Since the owner of the shop is a big fan of "Peter Pan" you can find lots of items related to the animation.

This was about a delicious restaurant near Sungkyunkwan University. An exceptional place I wanted to share with you.

Also there is a Napoleon pastry shop right next to it that you can visit.

Hyehwa Station Restaurants: 3. MOTI House (모티집) 

Seoul Free Travel : Ewha Mural Village, famous for its meat sauce noodles

MOTI House is located in Ewha Mural Village and it has been open for more than 10 years. The main dish is the meat sauce noodles. 

It is really delicious and attracts many students from Sungkyunkwan University. It is also popular among residents nearby. 

Because this town is really famous among travelers, restaurant is really well known. But, I don't think it is a hype, since they really taste good!

Most famous menu is the <Jengban Makguksoo> (￦10,000 / person)! You need to order for more than 2 people to order. There are also dumplings and boiled pork who need more for their meals. 

Stir the noodle with boiled pork and it is really great taste!

Hyehwa Station Restaurants : 4. Sungkyunkwan Gamjatang (성균관 감자탕) 

Seoul Free Travel : A delicious restaurant close to Sungkyunkwan University!

This Gamjatang store is just next to Sungkyunkwan University!

Although the interior of the store is somewhat old, it provides good food with good price.

The Gamjatang is not too spicy and the pork inside the stew is quite large.

The rich taste soup has sesame leaves in the soup and sprinkled with wild sesame powder. For Koreans Gamjatang is a great way to ease your stomach after heavy drinking. 

There is also a special menu here called "Kimchi Pork Pot"~

After putting ramen into the pot full of kimchi and pork, mix it with the scrambled eggs and rice and it tastes great!

It is a delicious restaurant also famous among Chinese people.

Hyehwa Station Restaurants : 5. Jungdon (정돈) 

Seoul Free Travel - On Daehangno, there is a super delicious store called Jungdon(정돈)

This pork chop store at Daehangno is the best pork chop restaurant in the whole Seoul～

<Jungdon> Only chooses the highest- grade Korean pork and cook them for 400 hours to make pork chops. 

Thick and gravy-filled pork chops are delicious and melt in the mouth. 

I really think that the small squashed pork chops at Jundong are the best. 

If you order pork chops, they will serve you with yello yuzu salt which is their specialty. 

Thes salt is made by the <Jungdon> and it goes perfect along with the pork chops.

In addition, the grapefruit sauce sprinkled on the sald is also made by the store it self which is also very good. 

Hyehwa Station Cafe : 1.Haklim Cafe (학림다방) 

Seoul Free Travel : 60's retro style cafe

The 60's style Haklin Cafe was the shooting location for Korean drama <You who came from the stars>, and was also chosen as one of the <Seoul Future Heritage> .

The taste of coffee and other meals here are not as prominent as other stores but it has the atmosphere of the 60's.  

It is the place where you can experience old style Korean cafe. 

This cafe has been in business for over 60 years on this culturally rich street. 

This coffee shop is also a place where many drama writers write their masterpieces. 

Old-fashioned interiors and black and white posters on the walls make you feel nostalgic.

The cafe has two floors. If you sit on the second floor and drink coffee, you can enjoy the leisurely atmosphere.  

The popular menu here is <Cream Cake> and <Vienna Coffee>/ 

Unlike the cake in other stores, this is made into a pudding and the cake is accompanied by blueberry sauce and orange sauce. 

You can choose the sauce you like!

<Vienna Coffee> is a coffee with three whipped creams on the top.

You can enjoy the sweet taste, along with its sweet looks.

Hyehwa Station Cafe : 2. Cafe Da Oh  카페 다오

Da Oh is a quieter coffee shop that is on the Daehangno and in a hanok building. A friend who attends Sungkyunkwan university told me that they often come here to read books. 

Quiet environment allows students to study aand prepare for exams, and often have fun while studying. 

This coffee shop was also selected as the Top 1000 restaurants in 2014. The owner himself studied in Italy to make a good tiramisu. 

Tiramisu here is really super delicious. ^^

Hyehwa Station Cafe : 3. Slow Step (슬로스텝)

Seoul Free Travel - Enjoy outdoor terrace cafe!

The most attractive part of this cafe is the open terrace on the stairway!

Store is not only famous its coffee, but sells beer too, which is a good place to have a drink after hard day. 

There is also a space inside the cafe like a small cinema. Miyazaki's move is played every evening～

On the second floor of this store, there is a cushion for everyone to sit on the floor and enjoy red wine and beer. They will play an animated movie, which you can enjoy inside the easy going environment!

Hyehwa Station Cafe : 4. Baramesalang (바람이 살랑) 

Seoul Free Travel : Small cafe converted from Hanok

This is a cafe converted from a traditional Hanok.

The wooden ceilings and beams have been preserved and makes the store feel a bit blunt and softer. 

Even the nam is a bit dreamy, which means a soft touch of the wind. There are only four tables in the smal shop, and the flowers, plants light up the environment. You can get the feeling that the boss really cares about the interior~

In addtion, the price of the coffee here is also very affordable, and the small terrace in the store lets you breathe fresh air from outside. 

"Baramesalang" is located on quiet street, and you can enjoy the beautiful afternoon whenever the weather is nice.

Hyehwa Station Cafe : 5. ANT CAFE 개미다방 

Seoul Free Travel : A small coffee shop where you can enjoy Margaritas

This is a small cafe located in the Ewha Mural Village~

Surprisingly, this store was also transformed from a traditional house, and they sell authentic "Margarita"!

The most popular menu here is grapefruit margarita, white grape margarita, and margarita smoothie.

Also, you can try the drinks before purchasing them, so you don't have to worry which one will suit your taste.

Hyehwa Station Hot Place : 1. Ewha Mural Village(이화벽화마을)

Seoul Free Travel : The village with murals everywhere. Not just the superficial pictures, but the place contains the history of the nearby residents. 

#Caution#

The village has gotten too famous, and causes trouble for local residents.

Also many beautiful murals are gradually disappearing.

If you still want to visit the place, keep in mind that you have to be quiet. 

Don't litter, or disturb the residents~~~^^

Ewha Mural Village is originally a very old area. In order to change the dark atmosphere, more than 70 painters gathered to make the place beautiful again～

After some efforts by the painters, the place has become a tourist attraction that everyone wishes to visit. 

The murals here are not just superficial pictures, but has historical meanings inside it which features the residents' lives.

Funny and cute murals are hidden all over the place, come with a camera and hunt for treasures～

Hyehwa Station Hot Place : 2. Naksan Park (낙산공원)

Finally arrived at the final destination <Naksan Park>!

The night view of <Naksan Park> is really famous!

Although I had to climb a bit, after the climb it was worth the climb.

From here, you can see the mixture of ancient and modern architecture.

Although the most famous scene here is the night view, in the spring the cherry blossoms catch your eyes.

At spring time,it is a very good place to date with your loved ones~

As the park is surrounded by the city, you can feel the beauty and history of Korean architecture. 

At nights, because of the beautiful atmosphere, many couples visit here for a date.
