Do you think you can have a decent meal for ₩5,000 in Korea? Well, you can!

Hidden in the alley of Sinchon, Seoul, there is a shop called Byeoldang Kimchijjim! You can enjoy Kimchijjim or Stir-fried pork just at ₩5,000. They also have Soybean paste stew meal for ₩4,000 and Stir-fried gochujang samgyeopsal for ₩6,000. Let's dig in!

Byeoldang Kimchijjim | Review

The Interior in this restaurant is really simple and clean. There are only 2 things on the menu, Kimchijjim and Jeyuk Bokkeum (stir-fried pork), at ₩ 5,000 each. The drinks are ₩1,000 and beer ₩2,000. Remember to bring cash for this place! You pay when you order and they will bring the food to you.

I was really shocked when the aromatic food came out because it was much bigger in portions than I expected. For the price, it's just amazing! They provide you with scissors and tongs so that you can cut the kimchi as you like it. For some of you, it might be a little spicy, but for me it was perfect.

The pork in the Kimchijjim was really soft. The meat and the fat were nicely balanced and well-cooked. There was hardly any distinctive smell of pork in them. I guess they took their time with cooking the meat. I would really recommend you try this place out.

When you get off at Sinchon Station, take exit 3. Walk straight till you will see U-Plex building. When you pass Olleh, turn left. Then go into the alley that is on your right.
