Recently Insadong has been gaining popularity as a hot place to visit. Despite its once apparent decline, Insadong has become rich with attractions, with more and more stores appearing in its surrounding areas. Towards the end of September, there was even a new shopping mall open, called "Anyoung Insadong" (which literally translates to "Hello Insadong")!

We've taken a look around the place, and it's even better than we expected. With many restaurants and lounging areas, it's certainly a great place to stop by when shopping in Insadong!

Anyoung Insadong (안녕인사동) ㅣReview

On the street of Insadong, diagonally across from Samziegil, the new "Anyoung Insadong" will easily catch your eye. Anyoung Insadong and Ssamziegil have very different styles; Anyoung Insadong is more modern and has a greater diversity of brands.

The exterior of the shopping mall is easily noticeable, with the Anyoung Insadong logo and large LINE character figures at the door. It's enough to make anyone want to come in and take a look.

The moment you walk in, the PLAY LINE Friends stores on each side will catch your attention. Their goods centered around the BT21 characters are popular. You can buy their cute original products here at Insadong.

To the left of the entrance, they provide tax refund service. Use it well!

There were so many, complete LINE and BT21 series merchandise in the store. If you are a collector, you need not go far; just head on to Insadong!

With such a variety of products, even people who aren't particularly interested in the characters would be hooked! It also wasn't crowded with people, so we could walk around with ease and comfort.

There's also gigantic BT21 character figures to take pictures with.

For the upcoming winter and Christmas, they even put out a Christmas tree to make the perfect photo spot!

After you get out of the LINE, BT21 stores, can you guess what can be found on the basement to the side? Even Sigonggan has settled in Anyoung Insadong!

The two branches have walls of jewelry that would make any woman's jaws drop, along with high-quality clothing available for purchase. If you're interested in shopping for jewelry in Insadong, you should definitely drop by and look around.

In addition to all these stores, there are also many restaurants, cafes, and dessert shops.

From the first to the fourth floor is mainly the open area of Anyoung Insadong. Currently it's quite special, as they have a limited Minions exhibition (open until March 2020). On the third floor, there is the CN Shop, where you can purchase merchandise from Adventure Time.

In addition, all the walls in Anyoung Insadong are filled with large doll portraits. It's also fun to walk around the mall and just take pictures!

Even if you get tired, don't worry! Anyoung Insadong is full of places to rest in. If you get tired, take a seat and enjoy the sight of the bustling crowd of Insadong.

Although there were quite a few restaurants here, we already had our meals and were quite full, so we didn't take a particularly close look. Most of the restaurants had Korean food, and there were a variety of desserts such as ice cream and macarons.

If you're looking to buy souvenirs, you can find them here; from personal brand bags to clothes, rings, and small accessories, they have pretty much everything!

In just over a month after its opening, Anyoung Insadong has become a new hot spot in Insadong for its texture and design. In the crowded Insadong street, Anyoung Insadong would be a more lax place to visit.

When you visit Insadong, make sure not to miss the ginkgo trees near Anguk station!
