When thinking of 'Seoul', you will think of a lot of buildings in the middle of a bustling city. Did you know that there are a lot of places in Seoul where you can relax together with nature?

Today I will introduce unique places in Seoul where you can rest and enjoy the nature of Seoul. From Seoul Forest which is called the central park of Korea to the Han river where you can 200% enjoy the night view of Seoul! Let's go take a look!  

1. Seoul Forest

Seoul Forest is a location that recently became popular and has a lot of attractions when you visit. There is a forest and a pond inside with a lot of couples doing their wedding photo shoots here. Also there are a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby making it a perfect location to visit when the weather is good.

When you come in person, you will wonder 'Wow, there was a place like this in Seoul?' as it is really beautiful. I strongly recommend this place to people who want to feel refreshed and feel healed in a nature environment in the middle of a bustling city.

Seoul Forest also faces the Han River so renting a Seoul City Bicycle and going around Han River also doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Also you can experience feeding various animals such as deer, rabbits, and more at Seoul Forest. The deer are very beautiful and tamed making it perfect to come with your children and feed them and leave unforgettable memories by taking photos with them as well.

I recommend you tour Seoul Forest in the day and going to Seongsudong in the late afternoon!

Seongsudong may not be that well known to foreigners, but it is a location where old factories once existed and those factories have been remodeled to become cafes and restaurants making it have a unique atmosphere.

Seeing the red brick factory remains as you walk through Seongsudong will allow you to feel a different atmosphere of Seoul compared to other places.

2. Kyung Hee University (Seoul Campus)

Foreigners when visiting Korea go all the way to Jiri Mountain in Gangwondo to enjoy the maple leaves in the autumn when coming to Korea. But did you know there is an amazing place in Seoul where you can enjoy maple leaves and ginkgo trees in the autumn?!

That place is the Seoul Campus of Kyung Hee University where you can enjoy maple leaves in a romantic atmosphere.  

As seen in the photos, the colorful maple leaves surrounding the European architecture buildings look amazing. The combination creates a romantic atmosphere where you will feel like you are not in Seoul.  

You will be able to see a variety of people that come here to enjoy the maple leaves from couple that are enjoying a date to families that go on a picnic here.

It is an amazing place where you will think "There's a place like this in Seoul?!'. If you are tired of the same travel schedule when visiting Korea, why not try something new and come to the Kyung Hee University Seoul Campus?

3. Seokchon Lake

If Koreans go to Kyung Hee University in the autumn to see maple leaves, where do Koreans go in the spring to see cherry blossoms? They go to Seokchon Lake located right next to Jamsil Lotte World!

Seokchon Lake is a lake located inside the city of Seoul. It is in a convenient location to visit as well as various paths to walk surrounded by various trees and flowers making it perfect to visit in the autumn or spring.

I personally like Seokchon Lake more at night. This is because at night, the night lights from the city and the lights on the path make the flowers and trees bright creating a more romantic atmosphere.

You will be able to see a lot of couples enjoying their date here when it becomes night.

A lot of cherry blossom pictures come up on social media around March to April when they fully bloom. If you are passing by Jamsil during your visit, I recommend you visit Seokchon Lake.

4. Buamdong (Near Gyeongbok Palace)

Buamdong is a small village located near Gyeongbok Palace. There isn't a subway station nearby so it may be hard to visit but even with this in mind, a lot of people visit this location. This is because of the peaceful atmosphere Buamdong provides. The combination of mountains, castle walls, and cute cafes and restaurants give you a sense that the time has stopped.

You can enjoy the green atmosphere in the day and at night enjoy the moody atmosphere making it famous to couples to be perfect as a driving course. If you are looking for a peaceful location where you can enjoy the nature near Gyeongbok Palace, I recommend you go to Buamdong.

The walking trail and park at Buamdong is amazing. Walk along the castle walls in Seoul and make unforgettable memories enjoying the nature.

5. Seoul Botanic Park

There is a place where you can enjoy the nature regardless of the season in the middle of Seoul. This place is the Seoul Botanic Park located near Gimpo International Airport.

The buildings are unique and are decorated nicely making it a popular place that is trending on Instagram.

You can see various plants including those that only grow in the tropics. A lot of visitors takes pictures like this when they visit.

There are a lot of other places here besides the green house that is nicely decorated so if you want to take beautiful photos and enjoy the nature I strongly recommend you visit Seoul Botanic Park!

6. Han River

The last place I will introduce is the famous Han River! The Han River goes across Seoul and is a big river. Because it is so big, there are parks along the river created by district.

The parks where the most people visit are the Yeouido Han River Park and the Banpo Han River Park. It is a place where a lot of friends or family members come at night on weekdays or the weekends to relax and heal their mind and bodies.

It is so close to the city that a lot of families and friends come here to enjoy a picnic. It is a place I really like a lot that once you go, you will keep on going.

I love enjoying the sunset from the Han River. Just looking at the pink sky makes my stress disappear.  

You can't miss the night view when talking about the Han river! There is a restaurant with an amazing view and tasty food so it would be an amazing trip coming with your loved one or family.
