It's very exciting. The price of kalguksu in Namdaemun Market is very cheap, and there are usually set menu prices, so you can taste delicious kalguksu, bibimbap, and even cold noodles and Japanese noodles (Udon).

It's full of people at peak hours. I feel that compared to the snack street of Gwangjang Market, this street of Nandaemun Market is more relaxing and comfortable.

Everyone is seated like this, and isn't it really vintage? The prices are similar, and usually there is more than one side meal.

This was my set menu. The bibimbap, cold noodles, and kalguksu are just ₩ 6,000! It's really a great price, and it's so hot that it makes people fidget.

The cold noodles were unexpectedly delicious. Although the portion isn't much, it's very refreshing and full, a good meal for the summer. After the meal, the owner even asked me if I wanted more.

The kalguksu are also better than expected, but a little spicy (just a little bit), and the soup is very sweet and very fragrant.

The portion of bibimbap is a little bit more ordinary, but the special thing is that their rice is not ordinary white rice, but it tastes real good with barley. If you're planning to visit, you should really order a set menu which is very cost-effective!

My friend ordered a kalguksu set, and the noodles will be in larger quantity. Cold noodles are also included, the taste is also very good, and cheap.

If you order a rice set, you will get a bowl of miso soup, and you'll have more amount of rice. See what type of set meals you want to eat. If you want to eat a variety of flavours like me, just order like me!

Namdaemun Market's most famous "Kalguksu street" is actually just a short lane of 100 meters, and it is very inconspicuous outside, so it is easy to pass by without notice. You must remember that the picture below, near Exit 5, is the entrance of Kalguksu Street.

After shopping at Namdaemun Market, I would definitely recommend visiting "Kalguksu Street" which is popular among locals. As long as you find Hwehyeon Station Exit 5, you can go to this alley in the picture above and taste the super cheap Korean cuisine.
