Hello, everyone! We are Creatrip, a group of travel experts.

The sweltering summer heat is intense, but that doesn't mean you can have fun outside!

Today, we've brought you guys a list of 2019 summer festivals in Korea to beat the heat

Korean Summer Festivals

1. Daegu Chimaek Festival | Review

You can't not have the classic chimaek (chicken and beer) in the hot summers.

That's why Daegu, arguably the city that gets the hottest sun in the summer in all of South Korea, has been hosting a chimaek festival in the summer since 2013. It's been a summer staple since then.

About 100 chicken and beer companies participate in the festival so that you'll have almost an infinite amount of choice. The participation is rising with each passing year; this year, they predict that they'll be having over 1 million guests.

During the festival, you can't miss "nine-nine time", which is when everybody shouts "gunbae (cheers)!" at 9:09 PM. Also check out the Chimaek Ice Pub, where you enjoy cold beer while dunking your feet into a swimming pool filled with ice, and the Chimaek Live Park, where the live music is at, or the Premium Chimaek Club, bringing you poppin music and fun times with Chimaek.

Beat the heat this summer at the Daegu Chimaek Festival!
