Gangnam has a very large business district. In addition to the beauty stores above ground, Gangnam underground street is a must-visit place for shopping in Seoul, and a fierce battlefield for beauty brands.

You should keep in mind that the beauty stores are located in more than one street. From the exit of Gangnam Station Exit 2, you will find bunch of beauty stores. 

From Exit 11 you will find restaurants and bars. You can also pay a visit as well!

Shopping Map of Gangnam : Underground Shopping

Underground Shopping Center of Gangnam station is quite large. The scope is from  Metro line 2 to Shinbundang Line .

Shinbundang Line has the more updated and clean atmosphere for shopping since it was newly added.

Gangnam underground is full of gorgeous looking clothes, and cosmetic stores that draw your eyes. Every night it is full of people, since it is a mecca for shopping.

If you want to avoid all the crowd, I recommend that you visit at daytime on weekdays. 

For those of you who are planning to visit Gangnam for shopping, be sure to refer to the map attached to this article. 

Also, if you are not satisfied with your shopping in Gangnam you can always leave to Express bus terminal station or Sinsadong for more shopping, since they are very close from Gangnam.。

Gangnam Shopping：CHICOR

CHICOR（시코르）is a large beauty store originating from Daegu. It has expanded to Seoul recently.

You can find CHICOR at the Express bus terminal station, and also here at Gangnam.

Everyone who visits Gangnam for shopping might find it hard to look for the shops they wanted to visit. All the shops are distant from each other and it is almost impossible to find and visit them in one day.

One way to solve this problem is to go to a large beauty store such as CHICOR. Compared to OliveYoung CHICOR has more special beauty brands you cannot find elsewhere.

Don't worry if you are worried that you won't find the items you are looking for.

Gangnam Shopping：innisfree

innisfree is a super hot in Korea, since its Toy Story items in early 2019. It has already made a fortune among girls around the world. 

You can also buy the Toy Story make-up items in other countries as well, but you can receive tax refunds in some shops. Saves money~ Yay!

Recently innisfree has collaborated with FILA and presents cool designs. When you come to Korea for shopping, you had better take these beautiful makeup items home!

Myeongdong OliveYoung flagship store

If you have paid close attention to the map, you will see that they have "seven" OliveYoung stores in just one street of Gangnam. 

They have more than 10 stores if you add up from all the streets. Isn't it amazing?

Just like the CHICOR we have just introduced, OliveYoung is also a place where many people come looking for beauty brands. 

They also have skin care items for men as well, and it is a place for me to visit when I've got time!

Shopping Map of Gangnam：Other Items

Everyone thinks it must be very expensive to shop in Gangnam, so they only pay visit to the underground stores.
But you should know that Gangnam is the biggest shopping district in Korea and you can find any brands you want on the street. 

From clothing, daily necessities to shoes, all of them can be found on the Gangnam Avenue. Don't worry if you might get lost while shopping. Just follow along the big road. 

After shopping at the underground you might miss some big name brands. Let's go!

Gangnam Shopping：JD

JD is located just outside Gangnam Station Exit 11, where so many people come and go. JD is also next to PLANET B which is going to be introduced in this blog. 

JD is a famous street shop where young people visit to shop.

JD brings together many brands of shoes and costumes. Many of them are one of a kind and not easy to find in general shops. 

If you want to buy special items from named brands you should come to JD which is easy to find in front of Gangnam station.

Gangnam Shopping：PLANET B

• 서울 강남구 강남대로 410

Also located outside Exit 11, PLANET B is a place to visit for apparels. If you are interested in Korean fashion you must be familiar with this brand. 

If you are anywhere where young people gather for shopping, you will find Planet B.

Gangnam Shopping：Youngpoong Books

• 서울 강남구 강남대로 408

Youngpoong books which is one of largest brand in bookstores, also has a branch in Gangnam district.

They are not just for books but for other cute accessories as well, so it is a must visit place if you are in Gangnam.

Stationery, cards, and notebooks that you were looking for, you can find most of them here. It is good for souvenir for your loved ones back home. 

If you are going to shop for stationery you must visit Youngpoong or Kyobo bookstore.

Gangnam Shopping：TOP 10

TOP10 is a famous local brand that you can find almost anywhere. Gangnam TOP10 is really large and a good place to shop for young people.

Autumn and Winter items such as coats and down jackets are best items from TOP 10. Also, you must pay visit when they are on discounts!

I definitely recommend that you visit TOP 10 whenever you visit Gangnam.

Gangnam Shopping：DAISO

DAISO has three stores in Gangnam. If you are looking for items unavailable in DAISO at your home country, make a time to visit DAISO Gangnam.

Lots of items in Korean DAISO is under ₩10,000, and very cost efficient. In my opinion, make up puff and microwave rice cooker is two items you must buy at DAISO.

Also if you are looking big size lint shaver and selfie monopod, this is the place for you. 

You won't find this elsewhere in the world, this cheap. If you are not satisfied with one shop, they have two more so pay another visit.

Gangnam Shopping：KAKAO FRIENDS STORE

서울 서초구 강남대로 429

You will be fascinated with KAKAO FRIENDS flagship store in Gangnam. Especially, you will fall in love with cute Ryan coffee.

You can find lots of KAKAO Friend items that are so cute! Ryan cafe upstairs is also very fun place to visit with cute desserts and drinks, but since there are so many people you might not be able to get a seat.

KAKAO FRIENDS Flagship Store is one of the most recommended place that you visit.
