Hangang is a really long river and there are total 12 Hangang Parks. Today, we are going to introduce well-known Hangang Parks for your reference.

There are a total of 12 Hangang Parks, from Gangseo to Gangdong. However, the characteristics of each parks are really different from each other. I will introduce several well-known Hangang Parks often appear on TV.
Hangang Park：1. Yeouido Hangang Park（여의도 한강공원）

Yeouido Hangang Park is one of top 3 parks in Hangang. In April, Yeouido Cherry Blossom opens annually, and in Summer time "Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market" opens. In October, there is the famous "Seoul Hangang Fireworks Festival", so you can enjoy festivals at all seasons if you visit Yeouido Hangang Park.

There are many places to visit in Yeouido Park; water stage, color park, piano waterway, and so on. Also the famous Mapo Bridge is located in Yeouido.

There used to be many people coming to Mapo Bridge to commit suicide, so the city put words on the rails of the bridge to give courage to the people. However, some people feels saddened by just reading these words.

Banpo Hangang Park is also famous among locals. The most famous event is the "Rainbow Bridge Moonlight Fountain". Season limited fountain show always attracts a lot of crowd.

There will be no fountain shows on other months so plan your trip wisely. Bamdokkaebi market also opens in Banpo Hangang park, so if you have the time it will be a fun experience.

Compared with other Hangang Parks in Seoul, Ichon Hangang Park has quieter atmosphere which many Seoul locals love to visit.

There are lots of hidden scenic spots in Ichon Hangang park. From here you can see the floating island, and you can see a deserted island. Whenever you come, you can enjoy a calm and romantic atmosphere.

- Metro Line 4, Ichon Station Exit 2. Walk toward Hangang River.
- Gyeongui-Jungang Line, Seobinggo Station Exit 2. Walk toward Hangang River.

Mangwon Hangang Park is the most famous park in Mapo-gu. The swimming pool opens in summer, and there are also many water activities in Mangwon Hangang Park.

- Metro Line 2, Line 7, Dangsan Station Exit 1. Enter Hangang Park through pedestrian passage.
＃3. Gwangnaru Hangang Park｜광나루한강공원

＃4. Jamwon Hangang Park｜잠원한강공원

＃5. Ttukseom Hangang Park｜뚝섬한강공원
Ttukseom Hangang park is one of my favorite parks in seoul. It is close to Kunkuk Univ. and Seongsu-dong. It is a great place to enjoy leisurely time riding the bicycle.

There is a ramen machine at the turf of Hangang park. It is quite expensive compared to convenient stores, but it is a fun experience if you are enjoying your time with your friends. Great to have a can of beer along with it.

＃6. Jamsil Hangang Park｜잠실한강공원
Jamsil Hangang Park Location
- Metro Line 2, Jamsillaru Station, Jamsil Station, Sincheon Station, and Jamsil Sports Complex Station. Walk toward Hangang River.
＃7. Seonyudo Hangang Park｜선유도한강공원

- Metro Line 7, Seonyudo Station Exit 3. Walk toward Yanghwa Bridge.
＃8. Gangseo Hangang Park｜강서한강공원
Gangseo Hangang park is also designated as wetland conservation park, and is considered to be one of the most unpopular Hangang Parks. However, just around the corner there is a newly opened Seoul Botanical Garden, which will make the Gangseo Hangang Park a memorable land mark.

When you arrive at Hangang Park, you will see many people riding bicycles here. Although it is very cold to ride bicycles in winter, in other seasons it is a very popular activity.
However, many people don't know how to rent a bicycle. Basically, there are bicycle rentals near the subway station, and there are also public bicycle(따릉이). You can rent them by credit card too.

Although in autumn and winter it is really cold, but when the weather is nice it is a activity you must try once. You can find these machines at Yeouido, Jamwon, Ttukseom, Banpo, and other Hangang parks.
