Hello, everyone! We are Creatrip, a group of Korean travel experts.
We proudly present you the latest, useful Korean travel information and tips every day.

Busan is the biggest port city in Korea. You can enjoy the great ocean view and fresh seafood in Busan. However, aside from the fact that Busan is a vibrant port city, it is also the second biggest city for shopping after Seoul. The city is packed with department stores, shopping centers, and supermarkets. Especially, the list of shopping districts we are about to share with you today is actually recommended by locals in Busan. You can experience the most up-to-date trends and cool atmosphere in Busan if you follow our list.

Shopping in Busan|Busan Department Store:1. Busan Lotte Department Store Main Store

  • Address:부산광역시 부산진구 가야대로 772
  • Public Transportation:Exit 7 of the Seomyeon Station, Busan Subway Line 1 and Line 2

Busan Lotte Department Store (Busan) is located in the west Busan area and is the largest department store in Busan. For those who want to shop for browsing at a department store, check out this Lotte Department Store in Seomyeon. Seomyeon is the biggest shopping district in Busan. Recently, there has been an increasing number of tourists visiting Seomyeon for shopping, this area is originally a shopping place for the local people. There are many trendy cafes and restaurants!

As a reminder, this Lotte Department Store does not have a Lotte Supermarket. The Lotte duty-free shop is on the 8th floor of the Department Store. The famous KaKao Friends is also located in this department store beside the Nampo-dong location.

Shopping in Busan|Busan Department Store:2. Busan Lotte Department Store Nampodong Store

  • Address:부산광역시 중구 중앙동7가 20-1
  • Public Transportation:Exit 8 and 10 of the Nampo Station, Busan Subway Line 1

Nampodong is near the coastlines, so you can see the great ocean view from most of the shopping centers in this district. You can easily find this department store after getting out from Exit 8 and 10 of the Nampo station.

In addition to the shopping at the department store, you can also enjoy the view of the famous Gwangan Bridge. This department store is the highest buildilng in the area, and you can visit the Observatory to view the awesome bridge view. Even if you don't want to shop, I would still recommend this place as a must-see attraction in Busan.

Shopping in Busan|Busan Department Store:3. Busan Lotte Department Store Dongnae Store

  • Address:부산광역시 동래구 온천동 502-3
  • Public Transportation:Exit 5, the Myeongnyun Station, Busan Subway Line 1

The Lotte Department Store has two locations in Busan. One is in the center (west Busan) and the south (Nampo-dong) of Busan. Recently, another one opened in Dongnae, which can be reached by Busan Subway Line 1. You can reach this department store from Exit 5 of the Myeongnyun Station. If you are planning to visit the northern part of the city, this location will be convenient for you.

Shopping in Busan|Busan Department Store:4. Busan Lotte Department Store Centum City

  • Address:부산광역시 해운대구 우동 1496
  • Public Transportation:Exit 6 and 8 of the Centum City Station, Busan Subway Line 2

The Centum City Station of Busan Subway Line 2 is located in the largest business district in Haeundae District. The Centum City Shopping mall is the major shopping complex in Busan and has luxury restaurants and various activities. Many locals visit here to hang out.

In addition to the Lotte Department Store, Centum City also has the Shinsaegae Department Store. The price range of Lotte Department Store is relatively cheaper than Shinsegae and they occasionally have sales. The Centum City shopping mall is also close to the Busan's major Arts and Cultural Attractions: the Movie Hall. If you are strolling around here and completing the Busan must-buy list, you may wish to walk around.

Shopping in Busan|Busan Department Store:5. Busan Shinsegae Department Store Centum City

  • Address:부산광역시 해운대구 우동 1495
  • Public Transportation: Exit 6 and 8 of the Centum City Station, Busan Subway Line 2

The Centum City Shinsegae Department Store is known as the World's largest department store. Many Seoul residents come to Busan just to shop at Shinsegae. The average price range of Shinsegae Department Store is a bit higher than the neighboring Lotte Department Store. It's because the Shinsegae Department Store focuses more on luxury items. Outside Busan’s western business district, many tourists and Koreans will come to Busan to buy shopping. If you have enough budget for luxury goods shopping, you can't find any better place than Shinsegae Centum City.

You can spend a whole afternoon here browsing if you love shopping. I personally think there aren't many options for restaurants.

Shopping in Busan|Busan Department Store:6. Busan NC Department Store Seomyeon Store

  • Address:부산광역시 부산진구 동천로 92
  • Public Transportation: Exit 4, 6 of the Seomyeon Station, Busan Subway Line 1 and Line 2

Busan NC Department store isn't known to foreign tourists. However, this department store is located in the trendiest commercial district, Seomyeon. The price range is relatively cheaper than other department stores. Many university students visit this department store for shopping.

Shopping in Busan|Busan Department Store:7. Busan NC Department Store Haeundae Store

  • Address:부산광역시 해운대구 해운대로 813
  • Public Transportation: Exit 4, 6 of the Jangsan Station, Busan Subway Line 2

The previously mentioned NC Department store is also in Haeundae. However, this place is a bit far from the main business district of Haeundae. If might be a bit difficult to navigate if you are not familiar with this area.

Shopping in Busan|Busan Department Store:8. Busan NC Department Store PNU Store

  • Address:부산광역시 금정구 부산대학로63번길 2
  • Public Transportation: Exit 3 of the Pusan National University Subway Station, Busan Subway Line 1 (near Pusan National University)

This NC Department Store is a favorite shopping place for local Busan residents. The sell relatively cheap clothes and accessories. This location is the most famous branch out of all NC department stores in Busan. You can find many trendy fashion items here at lower prices. This department store is right by Pusan National University, so you can have a quick tour around the campus.

Shopping in Busan|Super Market:1. Busan Lotte Supermarket Nampodong Store

  • Address:부산광역시 중구 중앙대로 2
  • Public Transportation: Exit 8 and 10 of the Nampo Station, Busan Subway Line 1

The Lotte Department Store is a must-visit place in Busan. One thing about Lotte is the Lotte Department Store, Lotte Mart, and Lotte World are usually in one place. Busan Nampodong Lotte Mart is not an exception to this rule. This Lotte Mart is located in the Busan 2nd Lotte World buildilng (The price is a bit higher than other Lotte Marts).

Shopping in Busan|Super Market:2. Busan Lotte Mart Busan Store

  • Address:부산광역시 중구 중앙대로 2
  • Public Transportation: Exit 4, 6 of the Busan Station, Busan Subway Line 2

This Lotte Supermarket is one of the biggest supermarkets in Busan. This place is usually very crowded with local shoppers. You can get many discounts on grocery items here. If you want to buy Korean snacks, stop by at this location.

Shopping in Busan|Super Market:3. Busan Lotte Mart Dongnae Store

  • Address:부산광역시 동래구 온천2동 중앙대로 1393
  • Public Transportation: Exit 5, the Myeongnyun Station, Busan Subway Line

This location is famous for having a lot of free food samplings!  Also, this place holds many discount events on a regular basis. If you have a plan to visit the northern part of the city, put this location on your itinerary.

Shopping in Busan|Super Market:4. Busan HomePlus Seomyeon Store

  • Address:부산광역시 부산진구 전포동 동천로 4
  • Public Transportation: Exit 1 of the Jeonpo Station, Busan Subway Line 2, Exit 3 of Busan Metro Line 2 the International Finance Center and Busan Bank Station, Exit 6 of the Beomnaegol Station, Busan Subway Line 1

The western business district of Busan extends to the Beomnaegol area, and there is also a large HomePlus Supermarket. For those who want to do shopping at HomePlus, this location is easily accessible via public transportation. It is located in the middle of the three subway stations and only takes about 5 to 9 minutes on foot from any station.

Homeplus Supermarket is usually cheaper than Lotte Mart. I love Homeplus because it usually has big discounts on Korean snacks - almost comparable to the factory price. Check out Busan's hottest shopping district, Seomyeon!

Shopping in Busan|Super Market:5. Busan HomePlus Centum City Store

  • Address:부산광역시 해운대구 우동 센텀동로 6
  • Public Transportation: Exit 2 of the Centum City Station, Busan Subway Line 2

Busan's most luxurious shopping center - Centum City Shopping Mall - also has a home plus supermarket. Rumor has it that, this home plus supermarket holds frequent sales on Korean snacks. In addition to the Lotte Department Store, Centum City also has the Shinsegae Department Store and HomePlus supermarket.

One Shopping Tip: If you are going to buy snacks, don't buy them from department stores because usually the price is way higher than supermarkets.

Shopping in Busan|Super Market:6. Busan HomePlus Haeundae Store

  • Address:부산광역시 해운대구 우동 해운대해변로 140
  • Public Transportation: Exit 1 of the Dongbaek Station, Busan Subway Line 2

This HomePlus supermarket is not too far from the Haeundae beach. If you get off at the Dongbaek Station, you may need to walk for a while. However, this HomePlus supermarket is close to the famous attraction, Dongbaek Island. You can enjoy the Dongbaek Island scenery.

Shopping in Busan|Super Market:7. Busan E-Mar Haeundae Store

  • Address:부산광역시 해운대구 중동 좌동순환로 511
  • Transportation: Exit 9 of the Jungdong Station, Busan Subway Line 2

The E-Mart store does not have a strong presence in Busan. Out of the four major districts of Busan (Busan Station, Nampo-dong, Seomyeon, and Haeundae), there is only one E-Mart Store in Haeundae. If you have a list of must-buy E-Mart products in Busan, take a walk from Haeundae to this the Jungdong Station. At E-marts, No Brand products are very affordable and in great quality. No Brand products are only available at E-mart branches. This means this E-mart location is one of the few places where you can buy various No Brand items in Busan.

Shopping in Busan|Super Market:8. Busan E-Mart Namgu Station

  • Address:부산광역시 남구 문현2동 전포대로91번길 47
  • Public Transportation: Exit 1 of the Munhyeon Station of Busan Subway Line 2

This E-mart store is not easy to find for foreigners. However, this place is perfect for those who want to buy Korean snacks in bulk. This store only stocks items in bulk and does not sell items separately.
