Today I visited Focal Point located in Starfield.
Blue Ribbon (award) and a handmade pie favorite, it's already very famous in Korea.
Focal Point, which has been loved at Seoul Station, is now also available at Starfield Suwon!

The shop’s interior stands out with a clean, stylish look, as the brand’s blue color ties together the tables, chairs, and counter.
It’s especially well located on the same floor as the very popular Starfield Library on social media, making it a great spot to stop by while exploring.

'Focal Point' uses Isigny AOP unsalted butter, a top-quality French butter, generously in all of its pie doughs.
Isigny butter is famous for its rich flavor and deep, savory nuttiness, so much so that it's often called the 'Hermès of butter' for its exceptional quality.
The pies, each baked to a perfect golden finish, were neatly arranged and looked delicious just to look at!
The signature menu includes Chungju Apple Pie and Seoul Bulgogi Pie, and you can also try the Suwon Hanwoo Wanggalbi Pie, available only at the Starfield Suwon Branch!

Inside the showcase, a variety of baked goods were prepared, from cheesecakes and tiramisu to croissants.
The variety of desserts made it easy to choose based on your preferences, and each one looked so delicious that you’d want to try them all.

Place the greaseproof paper on the blue tray provided in the store, then use the tongs to pick up the pies you want yourself.

There were so many delicious-looking pies that I spent a long time deciding which one to choose.
Plus, all pies are made and sold the same day, so you can trust their freshness and choose without worry.

After picking all the pies we wanted, we paid at the register.

Our editor tried the Suwon Hanwoo Wanggalbi Pie, Grilled Corn Pie, Seoul Bulgogi Pie, and Chungju Apple Pie.

The first menu item I tried was 'Chungju Apple.'
Chungju is a region in Korea well known for apples, famous for their sweet and refreshing flavor.
Focal Point's Chungju Apple Pie has the natural sweetness of the apples, so it's easy to enjoy without feeling heavy.
There's a low-sugar version available, so it's recommended for those on a diet or worried about sugar!

Here is 'Seoul bulgogi'.
This menu features beef stir-fried in a sweet and savory bulgogi sauce, filled inside a pie, making it one of the signature items that lets you enjoy a Korean-style flavor in pie form.
The hearty selection makes it great as a meal substitute.

'Grilled Corn' is a menu item filled with sweet corn cream.
It has a smooth, sweet flavor that brings consomme soup to mind.
The nutty layers of the pastry and the natural sweetness of the corn paired really well.

Finally, it's the Suwon Hanwoo Wanggalbi Pie.
Suwon is famous for its galbi ribs, so this menu highlights the region’s specialties.
This pie is a limited menu item you can only try at Focal Point Starfield Suwon.
On a crisp, baked pastry, there's a hearty topping of meat with a galbi-like flavor and plenty of vegetables,
Inside, there’s a chewy rice cake included.
The savory taste of the meat and the buttery aroma came together perfectly in the pastry, making it a satisfying meal.
Next, I'll introduce the drinks.
This iced Americano was a menu item we received using a Creatrip coupon benefit.
The acidity isn’t overpowering and the flavor is clean, so it pairs nicely with the pies.
The pies are reasonably priced, and with a free Americano included, it feels like a fantastic value.

The Honey Grapefruit Ade we ordered together is a menu item with a bright, fresh grapefruit aroma.
The sweet honey base with added carbonation made it refreshing to drink, and paired with a buttery, flavorful pie it helped cleanse the palate.
We recommend this to anyone looking for a refreshing drink to enjoy with dessert.

Lastly, it's the California Cream Latte.
A menu item topped with a generous scoop of pistachio cream over strong coffee, the cream isn’t meant to be drunk through a straw, you can scoop it up or bring the cup to your lips and enjoy it together with the coffee.
The rich pistachio cream and the slightly bitter taste of the coffee blended well, making it enjoyable like a dessert.

From character-decorated cookies to assortments you can choose by flavor, there’s a wide variety,
They also looked great as a simple gift to go with a dessert.

Each cookie had a little eye-shaped sticker, which made the details feel cute.
Our editor picked the blue cookie, Focal Point's brand color, and it tasted like mint!
I'm usually a fan of mint, so I could enjoy it without hesitation, and with Oreo pieces inside it, both the texture and flavor were satisfying.
There’s a return station set up on one side of the shop, so after using it you can return your tray and cup there yourself.
The moment I took a bite I could taste the thoughtful combination of ingredients and the high level of craftsmanship, I finally understood why Focal Point is a handmade pie spot awarded the Blue Ribbon.
From sweet pies to hearty meal-sized pies, there was a wide variety to choose from, so it was fun picking according to your taste.
