The delicious seafood kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) at Haeundae Haemul Kalguksu in Gijang are very famous. I arrived 10 minutes before the restaurant opened, but the parking lot outside was almost full and there were a lot of people were waiting.

For a kalguksu restaurant, the interior design is very unique and quite sophisticated. There's elegant indoor and outdoor seating, and it almost looks like a coastal resort.

If you want to enjoy the view, you should sit outside. The sound of the crashing waves will make your experience here even more special.

Tambok, an abalone restaurant, is very popular on Korean social media. The reastaurant is usually very crowded at peak hours, so if you don't want to wait, you should avoid that time frame.

Tambok Gui (탐복구이)
35,000 KRW

The grilled abalone at Tambok is very fresh and soft, and not too dry and doesn't have a fishy smell. Although each set only comes with 11, I'd say it's worth the money.

The main dishes here include abalone rice (탐복밥/Tambok Bap and abalone porridge (탐복죽/Tambok Juk). The price for each is 15,000 KRW. The finely chopped abalone eaten with rice and porridge is very delicious.

Asura is a restaurant chain with branches all over Busan, and we went to the one in Gijang. Although it doesn't sell seafood, it's a good spot to visit if you want a change and want some meat rolls and other Korean food. In addition, Asura is located by the city near Gijang Station, so it's convenient to get here.

When in Gijang, Busan, you can't skip out on seafood! Near Gijang Market, there is a famous seafood and snow crab restaurant called Daegae House on a corner with a giant crab hanging from the building. The snow crab at the restaurant is expensive, but it is a delicacy and the restaurant is very crowded.

The snow crab here is sold according to weight and can range from 80,000 KRW to 120,000 KRW, so you should inquire about prices before entering.

It is a little expensive, but the quality is excellent and there is a lot of meat in each crab. The staff serves you very well, so just sit down and enjoy.

Lastly, one of the highlights of eating crab is mixing fried rice with the leftover juices in the crab shell. It's only 3,000 KRW extra, which is a pretty good price.

Overall, the crab at Daegae House in Gijang is not that cheap, probably because it is a famous tourist spot in Korea. However, no one can deny the quality of the crab.
