When shopping here, you will notice the shops here have a more artsy vibe than the more mainstream big brand stores.

Today we're going to introduce you to some of our favorite places to shop in Yeonnamdong, whether for clothes, accessories, or souvenirs.

Clothing & Fashion

In Yeonnamdong, you won't find big clothing stores like in Hongdae, but there are many shops that sell Korean domestic brands, so if you want to find some local fashion, you should come here.

Casual Clothing

50% Sale Market (50% 세일마켓)

This women's clothing store has very affordable prices, generally from 10,000 to 20,000 won. 

The style is simple, with your basic, staple neutral-colored items, as well as pastels. The design is not too fussy and suitable for many people.

Paying with cash is 10% cheaper than paying with a card, so remember to bring cash to save!

Yellow Clothes Shop

This shop is located on the first floor of the same building that Yeonnam Vintage is in, and specializes in women's clothing. Because there is no name on the sign, we just call it the yellow clothes shop.

The reason we love this shop is because there is a wide variety of on trend clothing from shirts to pants and skirts to jackets.

The material is very good quality, though the prices are a bit higher here, starting at 49,000 won for shirts and 59,000 won for pants.

Recently, the minimalist style has been really loved by Korean women, why not give it a try yourself? This style is very easy to wear for anyone.

Sogonggan (시공간)

This shop is located along the main drag of Yeonnamdong and sells both clothing and accessories.

Here you'll find small accessories like earrings, rings, and hair clips. The designs are very delicate and feminine and the prices are very good, ranging from about 8,000 to 15,000 won. 

The clothes here don't come in a huge range of styles, but they offer simple and trendy designs that are very popular.

Cardigans will run you about 25,000 won and pants 33,000 won.

Distangdal (디스탕달)

This is a vintage store that offers quality, imported street wear.

You can find unique and rare pieces here at prices that are more affordable than some of the other vintage shops. Sweaters go for about 60,000 to 80,000 won.

They have a large variety of hats that are all very trendy looking. The hats are around 20,000 to 30,000 won each.

Yeonnam Y (연남와이)

Yeonnam Y is a fairly large vintage store in Yeonnamdong with items from many different brands, particularly many from Europe.

If you're walking through Yeonnamdong and come upon a brick patio with a large outdoor clothing display, you've found Yeonnam Y!

There are both men's and women's clothes here. If you're looking for name brands and affordable prices, check out this shop.

Yeonnam Vintage (연남빈티지)

This is another great store for people who love vintage street style.

The store is located in the basement, so head down the stairs to see what they have to offer. Most items are imported, so you can easily find brands from Europe. The price of a shirt is on average around 40,000 won, though of course the price will vary depending on brand.

This shop has both men's and women's clothes, as well as unisex clothing, so it's great for anyone.

Fennec Station (페넥 스테이션)

Fennec is a Korean brand that specializes in selling various fashion accessories such as bags, wallets, phone cases, AirPod cases, Apple Watch bands, etc.

The products here have a minimalist style and simple design, and there are many colors to choose from. Small wallets are priced from 43,000 to 48,000 won. 

Most products are made from high quality leather. There are also products made from this sturdy, canvas material like these AirPod cases that cost 18,000 won.

Sokamono (소카모노)

This is a gift shop with a cute blue cat mascot. If you are a cat-lover, you definitely will be interested in this place!

There are quite a few posters, stickers, books, and more with cute cat prints. Since these items are hand designed, they are unique and special.

There are lots of lovely greeting cards and wall art that would be perfect to bring back as souvenirs. Cards cost just 1,500 to 2,500 won each and a book is 10,000 to 15,000 won.

MAYSTORE GIFTSHOP (오월상점)

A very cute shop selling accessories, souvenirs, and gifts. When you enter the store, you can feel the cozy atmosphere. Like many other gift shops, there are many cards and other souvenirs here.

You can also find unique products such as cups, plates, cards, and mirrors. It would be fun to decorate a whole kitchen with these! The cups start at 4,500 won each and the dish sets are around 12,900 to 15,900 won each.

Additionally, these dish cloths are sold here and would make adorable gifts. They are only 3,000 to 3,500 won a piece or you can buy a pack for 13,000 won.

Teteum is a very famous character in Korea and Teteum products sell very well.

These adorable notebooks and planners sell for just 4,000 to 5,000 won.

The Ordinary (더오디너리)

The Ordinary is a brand from Canada that has recently been on the radar for many Koreans because of the quality of their products and affordable prices.

Of course, The Ordinary is popular in many other places around the world too, so you may already be familiar with their products. If you need some skincare products while you're in Seoul, you can conveniently stop by the store in Yeonnamdong.

They sell all of The Ordinary's products here, even special sets. Prices vary from product to product, but the general range is 8,300 to 17,000 won.

When you come out of Exit 3 at Hongik University Station, on your left you will see Olive Young right there.

When you travel to Korea, you can't help but visit an Olive Young at least once, right?

This store is a cosmetics and skin care paradise that not only tourists, but Korean residents also love.

The regular selling prices here are true to the listed prices of the companies, but the great thing about Olive Young is the frequent discounts and promotional deals.
