CL & Rosé First Female K-Pop Stars To Attend The Met Gala

Singer CL and BLACKPINK's Rosé were invited to the 2021 Met Gala that took place on September 13, 2021. This is a first for Korean female artists.

The Met Gala is a charity fundraising event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, but it wasn't held last year due to COVID-19.

It is famous as an event where invited celebrities showing off their colorful styles in line with a theme. The theme this year was American Independence.

Rosé appeared with Saint Laurent's creative director Anthony Vacarello. Rosé is the first Korean to work as a Saint Laurent global ambassador.

In the released photos, Rosé is wearing a black dress with an asymmetrical white bow on the front and a ponytail hairstyle. Rosé's outfit is from the Saint Laurent 2021 winter collection.

CL, who has attracted attention not only for her music but also for her extraordinary fashion sense since her debut, was also photographed. 

CL reinterpreted the traditional Korean hanbok by combining it with American denim and wore a unique fusion hanbok denim dress by Alexander Wang.

Rosé and CL are the first female K-pop artists to be invited to the Met Gala. Male K-pop stars Rain, PSY, and EXO's Lay have attended in the past.
