Well, there's a global digital art exhibition being held in Hongdae that combines the two in a fun way!

Come along with us to this indoor exhibition that is perfect to visit during all four seasons of the year with your friends or partner on a date.

Flowers By Naked Hongdae is a digital art exhibition that lets you experience walking through a majestic flower path that stimulates all five of your senses. 

With flowers being their main theme, the exhibition consists of various different zones with moving displays and colorful visuals.

Its main purpose is to show the coexistence of nature and technology in a fun, interactive way.

As you come up the escalator on the 4th floor of AK& Hongdae, you'll see the entrance to Flowers By Naked.

You can easily purchase tickets on the spot at the kiosk and there is a receptionist to answer any questions you may have.

Just pay at the kiosk, enter your phone number and the ticket will be sent to you digitally.

When you purchase your ticket, the worker will guide you to the entrance where you can watch a short clip of a breakdown of each zone on the screen. 

Just scan your digital ticket on the kiosk located on the right of the entrance and begin your magical journey!

1. Big Book
이야기의 시작

Our journey kicks off at Big Book.

As you walk through the dark entrance with colorful flowers that welcome you in, you'll be in awe of all its beautiful displays of colors.

Just as the name suggests, it has a giant book on a beautiful garden of flowers. 

Through each turning of the pages, you'll get to visualize the changing seasons from the cold icy winter to the warmer spring weather.

If you stand still admiring each page, there is a sudden burst of tiny soap bubbles from the ceiling which you can pop. 

This will bring out the inner kid in you and have you jumping up and down in excitement.

The colorful pastel art I was surrounded by instantly put me in a better mood and I began to look forward to the next zone!

2. Chill
지는 꽃잎과 피어나는 생명

At this zone, you can see the snow falling and flower dust filling the air as the spring season approaches.  

3. Dandelion
평화의 바람

As you enter the next zone, you'll see two giant dandelions on either side of the room. 

It's inspired by dandelions blowing in the wind. 

This zone wishes peace upon its visitors as you patiently wait for the warmer weather to approach.

Don't forget that it's an interactive exhibition! When you stand in front of the dandelion and clap your hands, they will blow in the wind behind you.

It was originally made to blow with your mouth, but due to Covid-19, they changed it to the clapping of your hands.

4. Glowing Garden
설렘의 황홀경

As you walk through the dark path on the way to the next zone, flower petals will light up on the ground!

Then, you'll be blinded by shining mirrors when you open up the curtain to the next zone.

It felt like I was in a movie with a magician playing tricks on me as I was surrounded by a million reflections of myself.

This is a very popular spot to take pictures by yourself or with your friends!

5. Big Flower Garden
향기로운 초대

A big flower greets you into the next path.

I truly felt like I was in animation with giant flowers that towered over my head.

When you wave in front of each flower, its petals will fly around behind it which was really cool to see.

6. Spring Trail
봄의 오솔길

As you walk slowly along the path of beautiful flowers, you'll be taking hundreds of pictures here.

It was beautifully decorated with flowers and lit up flower trails on the ground.

Make sure to take a lot of videos here to really capture the experience!

7. Cherry Blossom Garden
핑크빛 볒꽃정원

This was the main highlight of the exhibition and also my favorite as I love cherry blossoms. 

For those that weren't able to see cherry blossoms during their peak times, you can experience it digitally here. You'll feel like you're in a dream!

8. Flower Wall
흩날리는 꽃잎

When you walk along with your hands stretched out to touch the walls, flower petals will appear and follow your lead.

This zone is very popular, so take your time capturing all the beautiful moments! There is also a bench in front of a huge mirror so you can rest in the beautiful atmosphere.

9. Secret of Secret Garden
비밀 실험실

Last but certainly not least, is this zone that will make you feel like you're in a fantasy land with fairies trying to create a portion. 

I felt like a scientist experimenting with different ethereal flowers.

You can actually smell the beautiful scent of flowers here!

You'll lose track of time as you watch its petals floating in the wind digitally as well. 

When you walk out, you'll be at a souvenir shop. We took our time looking around at all its beautiful candles and accessories. 

You can purchase a gift here for your friends or family!

We saw lockers on the left of this store. You can rent out a locker to put your belongings here if you don't want to carry around a bag throughout the exhibition.

Unfortunately for us, we only saw this on our way out but we recommend using one if you have a lot to carry.

There is also a cafe here called Bites N where you can sit and enjoy some beautiful flower-themed desserts and refreshing beverages.

All the decorations fit the theme of their exhibition, flowers!

How To Get There

Walk out of Hongik University Station exit 4. 

Turn to the left and you'll see the entrance to AK& Hongdae. 

There is a sign that says Flowers By Naked is located on the 4th floor.

Just take the escalator up to the 4th floor and you'll see the entrance to the exhibition.
