Have you ever celebrated your favourite idol's birthday in your own special way by yourself at home, or sent a message to them on social media? 

Wouldn't it be amazing if you could actually be apart of their birthday party and celebrate with other fans as well? And possibly receive a gift bag on your way out as the host's way of saying 'thank you for coming'? 

Well all that is possible at these unique birthday cafes in Seoul!

A birthday cafe is where a bunch of fans from the same fandom rent out a cafe and gather together to celebrate the birthday of a particular celebrity! In today's blog we will be sharing our experience visiting these cafes in Seoul. 

We wanted to introduce them to you at some point or the other but I just happened to meet up with my friend over the weekend who is a HUGE ASTRO fan and she dragged me to his special birthday cafe. 🤣

The experience was far better than what I thought so I wanted to take the time to introduce them to you in this post!

ASTRO San-ha's Birthday Cafe

When you come out of Hongik University station exit 3 and walk through a small alleyway, you will arrive at ASTRO San-ha's birthday cafe!

This place located in Yeon-nam dong called 'Gifted'. We've often been recommended to visit this place from friends, but who knew I would be visiting it as a birthday cafe! 😋

The exterior of the cafe lives up to its name 'Gifted' and it is wrapped with a bright pink bow! The dark pink shade really fits well with the light pink shade of the building doesn't it? It's super cute!

An adorable rabbit character welcomes you in as you walk towards the building. This cute character is the primary mascot for the cafe. According to my friend, rabbit is San-ha's nickname in the fandom so that's why the cafe probably selected a rabbit for the mascot.

Even though I am not a huge fan of Astro, I got so excited walking through the big blue doors!

And rightfully so, the cafe was so well decorated.

Inside the cafe, there is a massive window that has a gorgeous happy birthday balloon decorated with photos of San-ha. Also, there were a LOT of San-ha fans in this cafe- most likely because it was his birthday month.

There were fans all over with a drink and cake on their table celebrating San-ha's birthday. It really made me feel like I was at his birthday party.😁

Don't the cakes look almost too good to eat? Normally, when you purchase a cake, they give you a special photo card but we went there too late and couldn't get anything. 😭

But, we were able to get so many other cool things!

When we ordered two drinks, we got these really cute illustrations and cup holders decorated with San-ha's photos. We also got a photo card and some stickers. You get all these for FREE when you order a drink, isn't it just the best?

As an AROHA (ASTRO's fanbase), my friend was extremely thrilled. She kept showing it to me out of excitement.🤣

In the photo above, before we met up, my friend actually went to a different birthday cafe and received these free goodies! It's a sticker that blocks radiation, photo cards, and others.

She kept trying to show it to me and talked about how cute he is. She looked very happy though, I didn't quite understand why she was so happy just from those photos that didn't even show his face properly.

You can receive so many free goodies when you visit these birthday cafes as a fan! Even though I am a fan of other idols, it also put me in a good mood because of how cute the products were.

After we were done drinking, we took some time to look around the cafe! There were too many people so we couldn't take a photo, but there were a couple photo spots at the cafe.

Luckily for us, we got to sit right in front of the massive window that we showed you before.

There were lots of polaroids and blown up photos of San-ha decorated around the happy birthday balloon. The photos varied from stage performances and selfies.

Do you see how hyped my friend was? Her eyes were fixated on his photos for the longest time. Even I find the photos of San-ha attractive, so how much more exciting will it be for his fans. 🥰

Look at this super cute spot that was MADE for taking the perfect photos! it was the perfect place to take some shots as the mirror was decorated with San-ha's photos and flowers.

Everyone was taking photos here, so we waited our turn and quickly went to take some shots. We even imitated San-ha's pose, how cute is it!😁

Even outside of the photo zone, the cafe is decorated with cute photos of San-ha in every corner! So we took our time looking around not wanting to miss anything!

Next time you visit Korea, if there is an idol you are a huge fan of, definitely visit one of these birthday cafes if they have one! It's a chance to be surrounded by the cutest photos of your idols with decorations, good food and drinks, FREE goodies AND you get to meet other fans as well.
