This property is fabulous. The rooms are well appointed- the service is top notch. The ladies at reception graciously helped us to order late night food twice, went above and beyond for us. Mr Tony Kim from the hotel front desk gave us so many helpful recommendations! The staff really want to make sure you have a great stay. The location is very central but also quiet and tucked away- just a 10 min walk to Myeongdong area. Would absolutely recommend and hope to be back one day!5

We're staying here for our honeymoon and it's our first time in Korea. We opted for this hotel due to its aesthetic and close proximity to myeongdong market. L'escape has far exceeded our standards and we even opted to extend our stay by an additional four days. The hotel looks like something out of a romance novel and the service is exceptional. Our room is meticulously cleaned everyday and breakfast is included in our stay each day. The food is delicious and beautifully arranged. Something to note is that if you're American you will likely experience some severe jet lag- we often woke up very early in the morning due to time changes so having breakfast readily available is incredibly comforting. The food that you do pay for is inexpensive and very high quality. The cocktails at the bar far surpass any we have seen back home and at a comparable cost. My last note if that a staff member greeted us kindly and spoke to us a little about our trip. Then after we had returned from a small shopping trip we found a complimentary rice wine, brownies, and a custom note left in our room. We assume because we mentioned it was our honeymoon. Overall this has been one of if not the best hotel experience we have ever had. If you are on the fence about where to stay I would absolutely recommend this location. We will definitely return and tell anyone we know that hopes to travel to Seoul that this is the place to stay.5

Everything was just simply great and it exceeded all our expectations in all aspects including a great service and selection of drinks in the bar. I just have nothing to add, we would definitely recommend to stay there even if you think the design is a little bit weird (like you are transferred/escaped? to some sort of France), but it actually did not bother us at all.
The uphill entrance of the hotel can be an issue for some. The lifts are rather slow and there are way too many people who do not stay in the hotel onsite for restaurants and the Starbucks that is on the same floor (7) where the reception is.3

The hotel is beautifully decorated in Parisian style, but we found several flaws, that were tough for us.
For example, the lights in our room were not bright, so if you wanted to do something in the evening, the lights were dim. Bathroom was somewhat bright but not good for makeup at all, as the yellow light was also not well positioned. No makeup mirror at all. Shower floor was very slippery, the tiles on the floor were the same polished tiles as on the walls and if wet, they were extremely slippery. Shower handle wasn’t very thought through either.
Otherwise the hotel’s decor and beautiful and very photogenic. The hotel has great quality spa and their restaurants and bars are also good. Best thing about the hotel is it’s super convenient location and very helpful staff.2

Rooms are great and location is also optimal.
Service was garbage. Encountered my first 5 star hotel where they refused to book a taxi for me the next morning at 5 am and suggested we walk 20 minutes with our 2 large carriers.
